Gurnee Motel

This motel woudl ve been tolerable if the bathroom wasn't dirty and the floors hadn't looked like a pigsty. I can't believe i didn't receive a complimentary upgrade for all the inconvenience. The blankets were dirty too-so cozy! I almost gave a good review, but the machine-like vibe of mediocrity just ruined it.

the hotel is 10 minutes' walk from the bus stop. i liked my room - clean with multiple channels.

Rooms are not being properly cleaned, with visible dust and old stains on carpets and sheets.

The breakfasts at 6:40. Really enjoyed our rooms with multiple channels. Location: the hotel was short walk to the suburbs, Gurnee, IL 60031 and express. We found nice Starbucks nearby with hot beverages: )

The sheets were stained. I had to ask for clean sheets. The entire motel smelled like cigarette smoke and mold. Our neighbors room was smoking, ours was non-smoking. There was so much smoke coming out of his room, it was going into ours under the door. I would not stay here again. I'd rather spend more money next time and not be in stink. The purpose of our stay was to be near Great America. Next year we will stay somewhere else.

The bathrooms are in desperate need of proper cleaning, and it seems like a vacuum hasn't touched the floors in ages!!! Consider fresh sheets to avoid guest discomfort!!! Improve the consistency of room availability!!!

The first non-smoking room we were offered smelled like someone had been smoking in it for weeks and there was even an ash tray in the room - it was disgusting.

Comfortable bed and working heater

The breakfast area was filthy, encrusted food stuck to the waffle machine, one stale bagel, crumbs and ick everywhere, dirty tables - and the staff member sat at the computer playing a computer game. It was ugly.

Room was filthy with stained sheets and bugs.

It's location and price

There was no bottom bed sheet.

I appreciated the convenient access to local dining options, very helpful for me as a senior traveler. The non-smoking room I had was clean.

More thorough cleaning in rooms is needed.

The location is nice, easy to head over to Bonnie Brook Golf Course, too! The breakfast options were simple but the coffee was definitely a highlight. Just keep in mind that the rooms are basic.

One downside was that the rooms lack deep cleaning, so be prepared for that. I noticed some crumbs on the carpets.
